Help, I’ve Fallen and I Can’t Get Up

“Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, worship, magnify, and glorify the king of heaven. All his works are truth, all his paths are justice, and he is able to humble all who walk in pride.”         Daniel 4:37

What get’s our attention ultimately determines our DIRECTION

 God is God, I’m not

God’s words are TRUE

God’s WAYS are just

  • The people we meet

  • The circumstances we go through

  • Our encounters with Jesus

God is ABLE

Therefore, Your Majesty, please accept my advice: remove your sins by doing what is right; remove your wrongdoing by showing mercy to the poor. Then your safety will be long lasting.”    Daniel 4:27

I gave you an honored title, though you didn’t know me. I am the Lord, and there is no other; besides me there is no God. I strengthen you-though you don’t know me—so all will know, from the rising of the sun to its setting, that there is nothing apart from me. I am the Lord; there’s no other.  Isaiah 45: 4-6

Soak and Share

Here are some practical ways you can apply today’s message and share them with others.

MEMORY VERSES: Daniel 4: 34

“At the end of that time, I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised my eyes toward heaven, and my sanity was restored. Then I praised the Most High; I honored and glorified him who lives forever.”

 PRAYER:

Lord, thank you for loving us even when we didn’t trust you. Help us to get back up and let go of our fears, our failures, and ourselves. Help us to focus our eyes on You. Amen

 ASK & REFLECT:

  •  Have you ever allowed pride to place you as the center of your life like Nutty Nebuchadnezzar?

  • Are you willing to let go of yourself and lift your eyes up to God who has total control of your life?

 NEXT STEPS:

  •  Share with a friend what you learned today, and how you’re going to try and apply it to your life. Encourage them, that no matter what…God is Able!

  •  Join us for dinner after the service and invite someone to come with you next Sunday.

  •  Read and reflect on Daniel 4

  •  The Best is Yet to Come!
